Emergency Services District No. 8

Parker County Emergency Services District (ESD No 8) is the local government responsible for providing fire and rescue protection to a 122 square mile area of Parker County. These rural areas included, north of Weatherford serviced by Central Community Volunteer Fire Department's, along with rural areas of Adell-Whitt, Perrin and Mineral Wells services by Adell-Whitt Volunteer Fire Department.
There are three volunteer fire departments including a substation in ESD 8: Adell-Whitt Volunteer Fire Department and Central Community Volunteer Fire Department, Station#1 and Substation #255. Combined, the volunteer fire departments of ESD 8 respond to approximately 656 calls each year, operating out of three stations.
ESD 8 is served by volunteer firefighters who are on-call across the district.
